Bes

Reproduction of the god Bès from Sudan. Despite its deformed appearance, it becomes very popular because of its cheerful character. He wears a lion or leopard skin and his skull is adorned with two small horns of goats. According to legend, under his leopard skin would hide an oversized penis which would be the reason for his eternal joy of life.

A protective divinity of the dancers, he was also loved by the ancient Egyptians in their daily lives, protecting them from evil spirits, wild animals and pests during their sleep. It is therefore often found on toiletries.
