Louise Bourgeois (born in Paris in 1911 and died in New York in 2010)
Louise Bourgeois was born in Paris in 1911. After training as a painter in the Parisian academies and then teaching Fernand Léger, she moved to New York in 1938, where she attended Surrealists.
Its notoriety grew in the 1970s, following regular exhibitions since the war. The true consecration arrived in 1982 with a first retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
